Creative Theraputic Play

These sessions are designed to be mobile to either the client’s home or in a settling that the client is happy in- for example a local park. (Additional travel fees may apply)

This new arm to Sally’s business has naturally evolved over 3 years since practicing equine assisted psychotherapy and nature-based counselling.

More recently while offering counselling to non-verbal and those clients who do not wish to talk in their sessions, Sally made descision to train to become a Play Therapist, so until this time Sally will be offering Therapeutic play sessions.

These sessions offer clients the opportunity to explore their concerns in a creative and playful way.

Clients are encouraged to naturally go into the ‘flow state”, commonly known as into the zone, where they are completely focused on an activity. This promotes strong concentration, focusing on the present moment (mindfulness), encourages feelings of serenity and calm, and clients have a feeling of control over the situation and the outcome of the activity.

Nature Based Therapy

Professional Counselling

Helping you to gain a better understanding about yourself and then have more ability to solve your personal problems while helping you explore and resolve issues that are interpersonal or personal in nature. The counsellor will focus on specific problems, helping you make changes in your life and fostering your wellbeing.

Sally likes to do her counselling sessions surrounded by my nature wherever possible (weather depending) and potentially walk and talk or sit and talk under the trees.

LEGO® Based Therapy

LEGO®-Based Therapy is an evidence-informed, play-based, social communication program, developed by Daniel LeGoff in the early 2000’s. It is a child lead, gentle way of helping develop social communication skills. LEGO®-Based Therapy is a strengths-based program that works by teaching the participant observation and adaptability skills.

In the Lego group participants will learn to look to each other for information, support and build relationships in a safe and respectful environment. (Starting late 2023). LEGO®-Based Therapy doesn’t aim to make the autistic child communicate more typically, but, instead, it gives them the tools they need to adapt how they communicate. It is designed to be fun, create connections, and improve relationships.

Sand Play Therapy

Is a holistic approach to counselling where we will use miniature objects that represent all aspects of life, the client will clearly display their inner world. It is a deep process which shows the client what underlies the current situation that they are presenting.

Sand play allows a movement within the client that is profound. It identifies unspoken issues and brings solutions. Sand play is for everyone. Children love it and adults marvel at it.

Nature Based Therapy

Encourages participants to immerse their senses in nature and sally will provide therapeutic interventions that may incorporate, trees, plants, natural materials, and the elements of nature which can assist clients to feel better emotionally, physically, reduces blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension, and the reduction and production of stress hormones.

Being in nature, or even viewing scenes of nature, reduces anger, fear, and stress and increases pleasant feelings.
